Pashtuns and Hazaras in Afghanistan

1. The Hazaras now form about 9% of  Afghanistan's population.
2. They are usually found with sedentary farming and town life, mostly in the fertile eastern valleys north and south of the Hindu Kush.

3. The Hazaras speak Farsi and are mostly Shi'i Muslims (primarily Twelver Shi'i, some Ismaili Shi'is),
4. the Hazaras were driven to the barren dry mountains of central Afghanistan.
5. His race and Hassan is just a servant but also his best friend.
